This is my favourite piece of scripture.
To me, it is one of the clearest expressions of Christ's unending grace, compassion, and welcome. It offers perpetual hope, reassurance, and safety, reminding us that divine love is not something we must earn, but something freely given.
Whenever I read these words, I am reminded that no one is beyond hope, no one is beyond grace, and no one who sincerely seeks God will ever be turned away.
It is a verse that has profoundly shaped both my faith and The Companion of Light.

“Nothing... will be able to separate us from the love of God.”
— Romans 8:38–39
To me, this is one of the most hopeful promises in scripture.
It reminds us that no one can ever stray so far that they will not be welcomed back with love. No matter who you are, where life has taken you, or what you may have done, God's invitation remains open.
Whenever I read these words, I am reminded that we are always being called home to grace, compassion, healing, and hope.
Nothing can separate us from the love that continually seeks to restore, comfort, and embrace us.
